Your gift has a lasting impact

Our life-changing programs not only impact the individual but also their families and communities. As our clients build skills and confidence to achieve their independence and self-sufficiency, they also find purpose in their daily jobs and interactions with their families.

Our Center for Visionary Solutions works intensively with employers to create job opportunities and employ individuals who are blind or visually impaired. In 2022, we successfully placed clients with 33 employers in the community in addition to hiring many for our own programs.

We actively advocate for funding, programs and policies that provide opportunities for clients by engaging with and providing expertise to governmental agencies at the local, state and federal levels. Through outreach and education, we work to eliminate stereotypes of people who are blind or visually impaired. 

And we meet with business and community leaders to help them understand the benefits of hiring people who are blind or visually impaired by focusing on their valuable skills and abilities, rather than their loss of vision.
